New ETA approval for rope tension parts and other components
The new, extended ETA certification covers our Forte rope tension parts and now also components from the Vissline, Self-Assembly series, swaged external and internal threads, eye-ends and other components. This means that the resistance values for a large proportion of our architectural components are certified.
Jakob Rope Systems receives a new and extended European Technical Assessment (ETA-21/0536). With the new certification, the resistance values for a comprehensive part of the product portfolio in the field of architectural components have now been officially confirmed and approved throughout Europe.
The certification relates to the following products and their combinations:
- Forte rope tension parts
- Vissline product range
- Self-assembly components type LT1 and SA
- Swaged eye-ends
- Swaged external and internal threads
The ETA extension not only confirms the high mechanical performance and safety standards of our products, but also gives planners, architects and building owners additional security when implementing projects throughout Europe.
With the extended ETA assessment, our customers and partners can rely on tested and standard-compliant limit tensile values – regardless of the country of use within the EU. This simplifies planning, speeds up approval processes and increases safety in construction projects in which our products are used.
The certified products meet the requirements of EAD 200001-00-0602 for high-strength stainless steel wire ropes with end terminations and comply with the relevant European standards. They are suitable for use in load-bearing and architectural applications under static or quasi-static loads and are characterized by a long service life.
